Plus, Mi'Kmaw chiefs consider legal action against fracking legislation, Halifax launches first regulated micromobility pilot project and every big show coming to Halifax in April.
Happy Monday,
At a time when we seem to be able to agree on almost nothing, I do believe the one thing we can come together on is that Elon Musk plainly sucks.
Nazi salute, anti-Canadian rhetoric and delusions of grandeur aside, what heās trying to do to the U.S. government is justā¦wrong. Heās applying the exact strategy he implemented when he took over Twitterāgo in, fire 75% of the workforce, then fill a few of the gapsāto a government state.
The problem is that if that approach doesnāt work with a social media company, youāll have millions of annoyed users, but life will go on with no real suffering. If it doesnāt work in a federal government, people get hurt. And not just the employees that get laid off, but the people that depended onāand benefited fromāthe work those people did.
His mismanagement of government is but one of the myriad reasons why hundreds of protests took place around the world on Saturday. The eventādubbed the Tesla Takedownās Global Day of Actionāis the latest demonstration by those who object to the role Tesla CEO Elon Musk has played in Trumpās administration.
About a dozen people gathered outside the Tesla showroom in Dartmouth Saturday as part of an international protest. They held signs reading āBoycott Musk!ā and āStop Musk!ā as cars drove by honking horns.
This all made me feel great! You know I love nothing more than sticking it to the man. But then I stumbled across this and now I think Iām just going to crawl back into bed for the next four years.
@galacticgossip Thank you Elon Musk by Ale & the Austin Industrials #elonmusk #tesla
Take care of yourself and each other out there!
ā Julie
