SHIPPING NEWS
More ship delays in Halifax Harbour this week
The CSL Tacoma, seen in port in Casablanca, Morocco in 2013, arrived in Halifax this week.
Of the 21 vessel arrivals listed on the Port of Halifax’s Vessel Forecast Summary between May 1 and 7, more than three-quarters are forecasted as behind schedule. Eight of those ships are delayed by six days or more. Another three ships have opted to skip stops in Halifax entirely.
Despite the hiccups, Halifax still appears set to welcome some particularly noteworthy ships this week—including two sparring siblings, Kenny Rogers’ lost country album and a ship that makes the Halifax Public Gardens look petite.
