With the Orion crane ship finally departed and the largest cruise ships away from Halifax this week, one might be forgiven for assuming it’s a quieter week for shipping news in Halifax Harbour. Right? Guess again.

Coast reporter and harbour-watcher Martin Bauman’s latest update wades through all the bulk carriers, oil tankers and container ships arriving in port this week—from former USSR satellite-tracking ships to ones built for hauling drilling rigs across the ocean.
