And 7 things to do in Halifax this weekend

PRESENTED BY

Good morning!

While it’s not a local story, I thought this piece of news was worthy (and cool) enough to be shared with all of you:

History was made yesterday in Atlantic Canada when a UK couple lifted off for their transatlantic balloon journey out of New Brunswick. Deborah and Mike Scholes are expected to reach Western Europe in about a week where they will officially become the first woman captain to cross the Atlantic in a balloon and the first registered blind person to be a part of the crew, respectively.

P.S. Scroll down to find out the results of yesterday’s donair poll 👀

🌧 Today’s weather: Cloudy with showers in the morning and risk of thundershowers in the afternoon. A high of 23C (feeling like 31C) and a low of 18C.

🥇 Check out today’s schedule for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games.
