Good morning!

In case you needed a reminder—I’m almost certain you don’t because you’re all lovely people—we’re in the middle of Burger Bash!

The Coast’s Halifax Burger Bash 2026 in partnership with Garrison Brewing has been well-underway since April 16, but remember, not all good things can last! We officially have four days left of beautiful burgers available at 150+ restaurants across Halifax in support of Feed Nova Scotia.

So, if you’ve been sleeping on burgers (metaphorically, not literally), it’s time to get out there and satisfy your hunger. Check out our website to see what restaurants are participating.

You have until April 26, Halifax. Go and grab a bite!

June Body gets heavy on cryptically-named ‘7678’ EP

📸 Joey Chapman/Jameelah Rahey

June Body has a new EP on the way, and lead singer/guitarist Connor James says it’s some of the heaviest music the alt-rockers have put out so far.

Off the back of their 2024 full-length album Last Everythings, James and his bandmates, bassist Alexander Callaghan and drummer Matthew Schofield, decided to take a different approach on 7678, dropping on Friday, May 1.

“It’s juxtapositional in a lot of ways,” says James in an interview with The Coast. “There’s a lot of tender, kinder, twinkly moments on Last Everythings, and the songs on the new EP are blasting in your face.”
