🗞️ Council has concepts of a plan
Plus, NS below the 95% vaccination threshold to prevent measles from spreading, concepts of a plan for the Windsor Street Exchange and a preview of Halifax Pride.
Ok Halifax,
I know that in-laws can be famously tricky, but this woman had obviously been pushed too far.
A sequestered jury in Australia began deliberations Monday in the triple murder trial of Erin Patterson—accused of killing her estranged husband’s relatives by deliberately serving them poisonous mushrooms for lunch.
First of all, there have been times when I’ve wanted to unalive my ex-mother-in-law, but her son and I were actually married at the time. The fact that this woman felt it necessary to murder her “estranged” husband’s relatives is…something. They must have really sucked.
I’m also tickled by the detail that she made one of the most notoriously tricky dishes—individual beef wellingtons—containing death cap mushrooms.
Apparently It isn’t disputed that Patterson served her guests the toxic mushrooms or that the meal killed them. But the jury must decide whether she meant for them to die. Ummmm…what? 👀
@catmilk11 Shocked the cat 😲😲😲#fyp #cute #cat
“No, no, I put arsenic in the cookies and then I fed them to you, but I didn’t mean for you to die! That’s on you doll.”
The prosecution said she lied about having a dire medical diagnosis to ensure her guests attended the lunch (smart), cooked individual pastries to avoid poisoning herself (smarter), and faked symptoms to make it look as though she fell ill, too (brilliant).
Please watch this space for the verdict on this one. But I can say with absolute certainty that this is the kind of wild behaviour that I simply must stan. I don’t know what this guy or her family did to her, but I do believe he/they deserved it.
Have a great day out there!

🤔 Need To Know
💉 At least three out of the four Atlantic provinces—including N.S.—have released data revealing their measles vaccination rates in children are below the 95% threshold recommended by scientists to prevent the disease from spreading.
🛣️ Regional councillors voted unanimously in favour of continuing some preparation—or early work projects—at the Windsor Street Exchange as planning continues on a final design that will be back before council in the spring of next year.
🚒 As high-rise towers continue to reshape skylines across Atlantic Canada, firefighters in the region say they’re neither properly equipped nor staffed to respond safely when emergencies strike above the seventh floor.
