29TH ANNUAL

Best of Halifax 2023

Usually the Best of Halifax results come out in early November, not early December. But this isn’t the time for The Coast to complain about technical challenges—now is when all the winners are revealed and you get to celebrate everything that makes the city great.

Even if you’ve been a devoted student of the BOH for the past 28 years since it started, this 29th annual has lots of brand-new winners:

  • Best Nail Technician and Best Community Choir are new categories this year

  • Can you guess any of the Best New Business winners?

  • How about Best New Bar?

  • And here’s a shortcut to the Best New Restaurant results

It takes tens of thousands of Coast readers, together casting hundreds of thousands of votes, to make the Best of Halifax. We’re sorry for the delay bringing you the results of all that work, but finally we can stop saying the best is yet to come—because the Best of Halifax is here.
